Meet Troy Claycomb

Lifelong Wyomingite. Educational Leader.
Small Business Owner.

Troy Claycomb has spent his life working in and for Wyoming communities. Raised in House District 1, he understands the values and challenges that shape rural Wyoming.

Rooted in District 1

An Upton High School graduate and University of Wyoming alumnus, Troy has spent 35 years in education as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent.

His work has always focused on supporting students, strengthening schools, and working closely with families.

Real-World Experience

In addition to his career in education, Troy has operated a small business. This gave him firsthand insight into the challenges local business owners face every day.

He understands what it takes to manage budgets, serve customers, and keep things running.

Family Comes First

Troy is a devoted husband to his wife Cheri and a proud father of three. His commitment to family and community is at the center of everything he does.

What Troy Stands For:

  1. Local Control Matters
Decisions should stay in the hands of local communities—not expanded government control.

  2. Protecting Wyoming Jobs & Industries
Standing up for energy, agriculture, and the small businesses that power rural Wyoming.

  3. Stronger Schools, Stronger Communities
Practical, experience-driven solutions that support students, teachers, and families.

  4. Serving People, Not Bureaucracy
Government should be accountable, efficient, and focused on the people it represents.

Looking Ahead

After 35 years of service, Troy isn’t stepping away; he’s stepping forward.

He’s running for House District 1 to ensure rural Wyoming has a strong, dependable voice in Cheyenne.
